Welcome

You’ve joined a creative community! There are nearly 140 SCBWI Scotland members and we are all working on a range of projects: everything from picture books right through to young adult/crossover fiction. 

As part of the SCBWI Scotland network, you are welcome to join our volunteer-led critique groups, hubs and socials. These are a great way to develop skills, provide and receive critique from fellow writers and illustrators, support each other through the highs and lows of creative progress, and make new friends.

As your Network Organisers. we’ll be organising regular ticketed events for you all with established writers and illustrators and other publishing industry professionals.

Writing can be such a solitary endeavour but we’ve found that SCBWI gives you support, feedback and companionship on your journey. We hope you enjoy being part of SCBWI Scotland and look forward to meeting you at one of the network events.
