We are pleased to welcome Dawn Geddes along to this meeting for agented and published writers and illustrators, where she will be able to pass on advice and answer any questions you might have on the marketing side of how to promote yourselves and your work.
Dawn is a freelance journalist and author. She writes for a number of publications including People’s Friend, Daily Record, Gurgle.com, Scottish Field, MADE magazine, Scottish Wedding Directory, The Courier, No 1, Living Magazine and Scotland Now, and is the Book Correspondent for The Scots Magazine.
Dawn also writes dark fiction and her first YA novel, The Worry Dolls, led to her being represented by the Sophie Hicks Agency in London. She delivers creative writing sessions to children within schools, as well as providing a publicity and marketing training course for authors at Dundee University. She will be running a day course later this year on ‘So you’re a writer, what next?’
During the meeting we will also be discussing how to take the SE Scotland PULSE strand forward and identifying what topics you feel would be beneficial to you in the future.
This event is for agented and published members and, if you would like to attend, we would be grateful if you could email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place and to give us an idea of numbers. Many thanks.
