Join Scottish SCBWI members Tita Berredo (illustrator and writer) and Maisie Chan (writer) as they take
you on a journey around Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in the West End of Glasgow. The
museum is home to fantastic displays of artefacts detailing Scotland’s relationship with the world –
it also houses a Dali and a Monet, a collection of stuffed animals from all continents and myriad
of other artefacts from around the world.
With a mix of visual and sensorial stimulation, Tita will lead fun drawing exercises inspired by items
on display from Brazil to China and back again. Meanwhile, Maisie will use guided visualisation in
the rainforest room inspiring you to imagine yourself in a different location and time.
Leave your inhibitions behind and let your imagination run free in this fun, sociable meet up!
The museum has a lift and access for those in wheelchairs and there are plenty of benches
around for tired legs. There are lots of local eateries for lunch and socialising afterwards.
Please bring drawing and writing material, and perhaps something to lean on.
We look forward to seeing you!
