Telling Tales
“Fairy tales are more than true:
not because they tell us that dragons exist,
but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.”
~ Neil Gaiman ~
This year’s conference is all about the modern, the mythical and the magical. Stories are fluid, malleable creatures that shift with the teller, the listener, and the place. They can trigger memories and inspire new ideas. They let us sing with our angels and, more importantly perhaps, they let us dance with our fears – and in this challenging, often scary world we live in, children need a way to do that more than ever.
Our programme this year is designed to help you explore all these possibilities, so come and join us for a weekend of Telling Tales with some of today’s most exciting and well-respected authors and illustrators.
Who knows what magic you might find?
