Workshop outline:

Lynne will give an illustrated lecture about her path into children’s illustration, via greetings cards and editorial. She will show how she creates her picture books and explain how she got the opportunities which have allowed her to support herself through her illustration. She will also talk a little about portfolios, agents and school visits.

This will be followed by a practical workshop, where we will look at ways to create ideas for exciting portfolio pieces. Lynne will demonstrate how to bring an illustration to life, how to make your characters empathetic and how to bring action and humour to your artwork. Please brings your favourite drawing materials and A3 paper.
