Date(s) - 27/02/2023 - 04/03/2023

Moniack Mhor, Scotland's Creative Writing Centre
Teavarran, Kiltarlity - Beauly, Inverness-shire IV4 7HT

A chance to fully immerse yourself in writing.

This is an untutored retreat. Everyone has their own basic but comfy bedroom with desk and chair – the perfect writing nooks, and in addition there are some lovely communal spaces to write in – two cosy sitting rooms with wood burners, as well as the amazing straw bale house. There are woods to walk in nearby, and spectacular mountain views.

All meals and snacks are provided, and individual dietary issues and preferences are well catered for.

This week is particularly special as it will only be SCBWI members – so people like you! We imagine that there may be optional evening events, like crit groups, readings, whatever we fancy organising. The week is yours to use as it suits you best, away from the distractions of everyday life.

Moniack Mhor is situated high in the hills above Inverness, but is only about 20 minutes drive from the Highland capital. You can get to Inverness by train or bus, and there is then the possibility of shared taxis from there. In addition, if you are willing, we can put people in touch with each other for car shares.

…A place of rare space and weather-wildness and beauty.  Something magical and good always happens here.
