In association with the Manchester Children's Book Festival, SCBWI BI North West is delighted to host the panel event 'The Author/Illustrator as a Brand'. We're bringing together a wealth of knowledge from all aspects of the publishing industry, including literary agents Penny Holroyde and Sinead Heneghan, editor Tilda Johnson and author and lecturer in literature and creative writing at MMU, Livi Michael. So, if you want to know the ins and outs, the hows and whys and the dos and don'ts of the business, we'll have it covered. And if you're daring to think about your art as a product, and yourself as a brand, this is the panel event for you.

The panel will run 11am-12.30pm.

Members will then have the opportunity to have a one-to-ones with either Penny Holroyde, Sinead Heneghan or Tilda Johnson. These will run from 1pm. A timetable will be published on the day. If you wish to have a 1-2-1, please purchase a Combined Member ticket. On purchase of the ticket, please forward the first 2000 words of your manuscript, complete picture book, or portfolio, to northwest@britishscbwi.org by 16 June. You may request your preferred professional, however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy your request.
