Central North SCBWI
Heighington - Lincoln,

This workshop is an introduction into writing for education. There will be writing exercises and anecdotes about Anita’s own experiences. Anita will cover:

  • Understanding the difference between writing for trade and educational markets
  • How she broke into educational publishing
  • Finding educational publishers
  • Examples of writing briefs and house styles
  • Writing for different age ranges

There will be time for Q&A and Anita is happy for each delegate to submit a question in advance so she can cater the course to their needs.

Tea and coffee will be provided and we invite attendees to contribute a small amount of food of their choice to a ‘bring and share’ lunch.

Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred. Tickets to this event are limited due to space restrictions but if the event is sold out and you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please contact Liz and Addy on

Note: We are meeting at a Central North member’s house and the address will be sent to attendees ahead of the event.
