The 13th Virtual Scrawl Crawl will take place on Saturday 24th April, 2.00-3.30pm on Facebook. We’ll be exploring Longwood Gardens as linked below.
In 1906, industrialist Pierre du Pont (1870-1954) purchased a small farm near Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, to save a collection of historic trees from being sold for lumber. Today, Longwood Gardens is one of the world’s great horticultural displays, encompassing 1,100 acres of dazzling gardens, woodlands, meadows, fountains, 10,010-pipe Aeolian organ, and a 4.5-acre conservatory.
You are free to sketch, paint, take notes, write a short scene, character description, plan a story idea or create anything you like inspired by the exhibits or architecture of this museum. You are welcome to share your work at the end for some friendly feedback. I hope you will join me for some fun virtual scrawl-crawling!
